LegalTerms of use
Terms of Use — Summary
Last updated: September 2026 — Summary of the terms applicable to the DevLyTicks platform (B2B and individual customers established in the EU).
Article 1 — Subject
DevLyTicks is an online engineering analytics platform (the "Service") that analyzes connected code data (commits, pull requests, issues, builds, deployments) to produce activity and quality indicators at the organization, team and contributor level, subject to the permissions granted by the customer to the source provider. The team workload health indicator is presented at team level, aggregated and anonymized.
Article 2 — Acceptance and consumer/professional status
Registration constitutes full acceptance of these terms. The Service is primarily intended for professionals (organizations, teams) but is also open to individuals.
Consumers within the meaning of EU and French consumer law benefit, in particular, from: the statutory 14-day withdrawal right for paid subscriptions; pre-contractual information including the total VAT-included price; and all mandatory provisions of consumer law.
Article 3 — Account and access
- Access to the service requires creating an account with a valid email address.
- You are responsible for the confidentiality of your credentials and for managing accounts within your organization.
- Connecting a source provider (GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, Azure DevOps) uses a read-only access token that you supply voluntarily and may revoke at any time.
Article 4 — Third-party contributor data
Connecting a repository causes us to process contributor metadata (names, commit emails) as published by the repository, including third parties such as open-source contributors. As our customer, you confirm you are entitled to process this data and you agree to:
- only connect repositories you are authorized to manage;
- not process contributor data outside the scope of your organization or projects;
- comply with French employment law and CNIL requirements when using analytics in an employee context (informing the people concerned and, where applicable, staff representative bodies).
Article 5 — Aggregated team indicators
Workload health indicators (quality trend, long sessions, weekend work) are produced and displayed at team level, aggregated and anonymized. DevLyTicks does not provide an individual burnout risk score, does not make automated decisions within the meaning of Article 22 GDPR, and does not recommend individual measures against an identifiable employee based on this data.
Article 6 — Subscriptions and billing
- Plans, features and quotas are described on the pricing page; billing is based on seats (active contributors) and connected repositories.
- Prices are displayed excl. VAT (HT); applicable VAT and the VAT-included (TTC) total are calculated at checkout. EU businesses with a valid VAT number qualify for the reverse charge (VAT exempt).
- Payments are processed by Stripe. No cancellation fee is applied on termination.
- Depending on the chosen billing interval (monthly/yearly), billing follows what was displayed at subscription time.
Article 7 — Free trials and tacit renewal
Trial offers (where available) require no credit card. At the end of a trial, no charge, plan change or automatic renewal can occur without your explicit action.
Article 8 — Service availability
We strive to provide the best possible availability. No absolute guarantee of uninterrupted service is provided: maintenance may cause temporary unavailability. A dedicated SLA may be negotiated for the Enterprise plan.
Article 9 — Artificial intelligence
If you have access to an AI feature, your questions and relevant technical context may be processed by an external large language model provider solely to generate a response (your data is not used for model training). The list of active providers is available on request; processing is covered by our DPA and privacy policy.
Article 10 — Termination
- You can cancel at any time from the dashboard; your subscription remains active until the end of the paid period, then reverts to the Free plan.
- Termination takes effect at the end of the current billing period unless the customer requests otherwise.
- We may suspend or terminate your account for notified non-payment or manifest breach, after 7 days' notice (except security emergencies).
- Upon termination, synchronized repository data is deleted in accordance with the privacy policy.
Article 11 — Intellectual property
The DevLyTicks software, interface and content are protected. Your source data remains yours and is used only to provide the service, except for the anonymous aggregated reuse described in the privacy policy.
Article 12 — Liability
DevLyTicks provides its service on a best-effort basis. Our liability is limited to direct faults and, in all events, capped at the amount paid during the last 12 months. Where a consumer subscribes, these limits apply without excluding mandatory provisions of consumer law.
Article 13 — Personal data and GDPR
Personal data processing is described in our Privacy Policy. Our Data Processing Agreement (DPA) applies automatically to business customers.
Article 14 — Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by French law. In case of dispute, an amicable solution will be sought before legal action. Consumers may also use a consumer mediator free of charge and the European online dispute resolution platform. Unless mandatory rules provide otherwise, the competent court is that of the consumer's domicile, or located in France for professional customers.
