Quick Start Guide
Get up and running with DevLyTicks in just 5 minutes. This guide will walk you through creating an account, connecting your first repository, and viewing your analytics dashboard.
Before you begin, make sure you have:
- A GitHub account with access to repositories you want to analyze
- Admin access to at least one GitHub repository or organization
- A modern web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge)
DevLyTicks uses GitHub OAuth for secure authentication. You'll authorize DevLyTicks to access your GitHub repositories.
Navigate to DevLyTicks
Visit devlyticks.com and click "Get Started" or "Sign in with GitHub"
Authorize GitHub Access
Click "Authorize" on the GitHub OAuth page to grant DevLyTicks access to your repositories
Complete Profile
You'll be redirected back to DevLyTicks and your account will be automatically created
Organizations in DevLyTicks help you manage team access and collaborate on analytics.
Create New Organization
If you're setting up DevLyTicks for your team, create a new organization.
- • Enter organization name
- • Select GitHub organization (optional)
- • Invite team members
Join Existing Organization
If you received an invitation, accept it to join an existing team.
- • Check your email for invite
- • Click invitation link
- • Accept to join organization
Connect a GitHub repository to start analyzing your development metrics.
Navigate to Repositories
Click "Repositories" in the sidebar, then "Add Repository"
Select Repository
Choose a repository from your GitHub account or organization
Start Sync
Click "Sync Repository" to begin importing data. This may take a few minutes depending on repository size.
💡 Pro Tip: Start with a smaller, active repository for your first sync. This will complete faster and give you immediate insights!
Once your repository is synced, you can start exploring your development analytics.
Analytics Overview
View commit activity, code quality scores, and team performance metrics.
Contributors
Track individual and team contributions, collaboration patterns, and productivity.
Leaderboard
Gamified team rankings based on contributions, code quality, and engagement.
Repository Insights
Deep dive into repository-specific metrics, trends, and code quality analysis.
